What is Fusion Plasma?

Fusion Plasma Fibroblast treatment is a cutting-edge, non-invasive treatment that combines two powerful plasma technologies — Cold Plasma and Warm Plasma — in one comprehensive procedure. This innovative approach offers effective, safe, and long-lasting results for skin rejuvenation and enhancement.

Cold Plasma: Cold Plasma utilizes ionized argon gas at temperatures ranging from 30°C to 70°C, offering a range of skin benefits including antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and regenerative properties. This non-invasive treatment works without causing thermal damage to the skin, making it a safe and effective solution for various skin concerns.
  •  Fight Acne and Inflammation: Cold Plasma targets harmful bacteria and prevents their growth, making it an ideal treatment for acne-prone and inflamed skin.
  •  Enhance Wound Healing: By delivering controlled reactive molecules to the skin, Cold Plasma accelerates the healing process, promotes tissue regeneration, and helps prevent infections. It’s a gentle, non-invasive alternative to traditional healing methods.
  •  Stimulate Collagen Production: Cold Plasma boosts skin regeneration by encouraging collagen production, promoting healthier, more youthful skin while speeding up the healing process. Warm Plasma: Operating at higher temperatures between 200°C and 400°C, Warm Plasma creates controlled micro-damage to the skin’s layers, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. This process works to tighten and rejuvenate the skin, resulting in a firmer, smoother appearance.
  •  Stimulates Collagen and Elastin Production: Warm Plasma encourages the synthesis of collagen and elastin, leading to firmer, more youthful skin.
  • Promotes Skin Tightening: This treatment reduces fine lines and wrinkles while rejuvenating the skin.
  •  Improves Skin Texture: Warm Plasma enhances the skin's natural repair mechanisms, improving its texture and overall tone.
With its medium heat levels, Warm Plasma offers significant rejuvenation, especially for individuals showing early signs of aging or mild skin laxity.

Plasma Fibroblast Pen

Plasma Fibroblast pen is a non-invasive skin lifting, skin tightening and rejuvenation procedure that uses plasma energy to regenerate the skin’s epidermal layer. The Pen heats and disrupts the deeper dermal structure. The procedure targets fibroblasts which generates collagen and elastin which is the protein responsible for skin elasticity and therefore treats wrinkles, sagging skin, skin tags and other skin lesion.

Plasma Fibroblast pen treatment can be used for a number of procedures to greatly enhance your looks without the need for costly and invasive surgery. Fibroblasts are important in helping skin wounds heal as well as maintaining skin firmness and tightness.

Plasma Fibroblast therapy uses a device similar to a pen that discharges a high-frequency electric current to small areas of the skin. The tip doesn’t actually touch the skin, but instead releases a targeted current just above the skin. The hot current creates small holes, or micro-injuries, in the skin’s layer.

Plasma Fibroblast therapy can be used an alternative to laser, injections or surgical procedures to help tighten and improve the aesthetics of the skin by:

  • breaks down proteins in the skin

  • encourages tissue regeneration

  • stimulates fibroblast activity (creation of collagen and elastin)

  • causes tissue contraction (tightening)

Benefits

Plasma Fibroblast Treatment due to its technology and application, has many benefits and is suitable for most people:

  • It is non-invasive meaning it does not require cosmetic surgery

  • Tightens and lifts skin, including reduction of lines and wrinkles

  • Eye lid correction (blepharoplasty) – including tightening baggy lower lids and excess upper eyelid skin

  • Skin tag and mole removal

  • Effective & safe acne and acne scars improvement

  • Pigmentation reduction

  • Skin regeneration

  • Skin tightening for face and neck lifting

  • Reduction of seborrheic keratosis (a skin growth)

  • Reduce appearance of stretchmarks and scarring

  • Skin Tags

  • Moles

  • Boosting the transdermal absorption of skincare ingredients

The advantages over Cosmetic Surgery are:

  • Non-invasive (no scalpels or cutting of the skin, no stitches)

  • No bleeding

  • Low risk

  • Rapid recovery with minimal downtime

  • Affordable

  • Topical Anaesthetic required only

Procedure

At Beautilase, we will carry out a thorough consultation prior to the treatment to address concerns you may have and run through what is involved in the treatment.

  • Before the treatment, all make-up, oils, sunscreens and other skin products must be removed. Ideally you should do this prior to coming into the clinic.

  • We will apply a topical anaesthetic (numbing cream) to the area. This usually takes 30 minutes to take effect.

  • The area will be treated with the Plasma Fibroblast penwhich will create small arcs of micro-currents leading to small dots on the skin. The Pen will not actually touch the skin.

  • Depending on the area, it could take 15 – 60 mins to complete.

  • We will remove the numbing cream and apply Aloe Vera gel to minimise any tingling or burning sensation.

  • You can resume your normal daily actives except for exercise (after 7 to 10 days). The brown dots takes 7 to 10 days to flake.

 FAQs

  •

    • If you are displaying signs of cold or flu the treatment should be rescheduled.

    • Contact lenses must be removed when performing the treatment on the upper eyelids.

    • Skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to procedure.

    • If you have a sunburn/suntan, treatment should be postponed for up to 8 weeks or until tan/burn signs disappear.

    • Discontinue use of any AHA and/or Retinol skincare products for 4 weeks prior to treatment.

    • Eyelash extensions receiving upper or lower eyelid treatment MUST have lashes removed prior to treatment and reapplied after 8 weeks.

    • Discontinue use of any cleansers, creams, and serums containing acids such as salicylic, glycolic, and lactic acid 4 weeks prior to having any facial Plasma Skin Tightening procedures.

  •

We typically book sessions for a minimum of one hour.

    • Numbing Time (applying and waiting for the numbing cream to take effect) – 30 mins.

    • Treatment Time – 15 – 60 mins (or longer in larger areas of the body).

  •

Plasma Fibroblast Treatments have been shown to be a safe procedure in thousands of patients around the world due to its non-invasive nature, but as with most cosmetic procedures, patients may experience minor side effects (redness, swelling) in the first 3-5 days after treatment.

The treatment area can show small but visible brown dotted marks, which typically heal within 7-10 days. If eye treatment is required, there may be 3-5 days of swelling which look very dramatic for the first few days. To avoid side effects such as hyperpigmentation, follow the aftercare instructions closely. These will be given to you prior to your treatment.

Overall, the treatment is comfortable and low in complications.

  •

While you may resume your normal work immediately, the treatment can cause ‘crusts’ to form on the skin giving a distinctive dotting effect. You can also experience swelling in the area treated, particularly in the eye area. The swelling will diminish over a 3-5 day period and the crust (brown dots) that occur are gone on average between 7-10 days.

These are, however, cosmetic issues only so technically there is no real downtime if these visual effects are of no concern to you.

  •

We recommend you do not wear makeup in the area treated during the 5-7 day because make up can disrupt the scabs before they are ready to flake off.

  •

Bepanthen cream (Helps heal very dry, cracked, and irritated skin) can be used several times a day as required.

  •

Plasma Fibroblast treatment is a very safe and effective treatment with very little side effects.

  •

Treatments are offered only to people who will see the benefits. Plasma is a very safe and effective treatment, however is not suitable for everyone. There are certain medical conditions and skin types which do not react well. We will assess this on an individual basis at your consultation visit and give full reasons to you if you are not eligible.

    Treatment is not advised for:

    • Candidates with very dark skin. The risk of hyper or hypo-pigmentation is much higher.

    • Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

    • History of poor wound healing, blood problems, collagen diseases, open cuts, wounds, sun burnt skin, active herpes outbreaks, pustule acne lesions.

    • If you have any metal plates, pins or other implants.

    • Cardio-vascular deficiencies including severe uncontrolled blood pressure.

    • If you have a pacemaker or any other medical device with an electrical current.

    • Malignancy and chemotherapy in the past 3 years.

    • Susceptibility to hypertrophic scarring or keloid formation.

    • Auto-immune disease or other illnesses which affect the immune system.

      • You must not display Herpes Simplex Virus (Cold sores/Fever blisters). You must reschedule your appointment if you are experiencing an outbreak. If they have experienced Herpes Simplex Virus (cold sores/fever blisters) in the past you must see your Medical Doctor and obtain a prescription for Valtrex and begin taking it 3 days before treatment and for 4 days following treatment

  •

Candidates with dark skin have much higher risk of hyper or hypo-pigmentation.

This treatment is only recommended on light-medium skin tones.

  •

We are able to treat Skin Tags, Cherry Angioma, Scar Removal, Age Spots, Benign Sunspots and Stretch Marks.

  •

The positive effects of The Plasma Fibroblast Treatment is instant and visible during the treatment itself but will be even more noticeable at 8 weeks, with continuing improvement up to 12 weeks and beyond.

Follow up treatments may be performed after 8 weeks depending on your skin’s natural healing process.

  •

Plasma skin tightening effects are comparable with invasive surgery. Like any surgical or cosmetic procedures, the effects of Plasma treatment are not entirely permanent and won’t stop the ageing process, however, the results you get should last you for many years.

The average adult should see the effects for three years or more. Negative lifestyle choices such as too much sun, smoking and excess alcohol consumption are discouraged in order to maintain lasting results. Aftercare and maintenance is possible at any time.

  •

In most cases, only one treatment is required, however, depending on the area of the face or body being treated and individual severity of the condition and expectations one or two treatments may be necessary. One can have a top when required.

  •

Plasma Fibroblast Pen converts electrical energy into gaseous diatomic molecular nitrogen and transmits that energised gas in a non-contact way to the skin’s surface from above. This causes a micro-trauma to the skin’s epidermal layer (top layers) whilst simultaneously heating and disrupting the deeper dermal structure via thermal conduction. This treatment is also known as fibroblasting. Fibroblasts are the most common cells of connective tissue in the body that produce collagen.

Surgery is invasive, meaning you get folds of skin cut off you with a scalpel and being stitched back together. It also has a much longer recovery time and can sometimes give less than satisfactory results.

  •

As most people are aware, Botox can alter your facial expressions and long term works out more expensive. The Plasma pen won’t do this. It is safer and the effects can last up to three years.

  •

Yes. However, it may not be suitable for everyone and results could vary.

  •

If you have a very low pain threshold, you may experience some discomfort. To minimise and pain, we use a topical anaesthetic application (numbing cream) and allow it time to take effect in the areas you would like to have treated. The topical anaesthetic is applied for 30 mins for the best effect.

    improvements without irritation or damage.
Each type of plasma has unique properties and is suited for different skin types and conditions:  Cold Plasma (30°C – 70°C): Ideal for sensitive, acne-prone, and inflamed skin. It has antibacterial, anti- inflammatory, and regenerative effects, stimulating collagen production without thermal damage.  Warm Plasma (120°C – 180°C): Works by creating controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen and elastin production, offering skin tightening and rejuvenation with minimal discomfort and downtime.  Hot Plasma Pen (800°C – 1000°C): The most aggressive form, designed for deep skin treatments, such as severe scarring or wrinkles. However, it carries higher risks, including significant downtime and the potential for side effects like hyperpigmentation or Hypopigmentation

Although the therapy is performed correctly, there are some potential risks, including but not limited to:
intolerance to the local anesthetic, infection at the treatment site, wound healing issues, scarring (which is
extremely rare), and pigment changes (such as hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation). It is important to use
sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher for at least 2-4 weeks following the treatment.

Before Your Treatment
1. Avoid all forms of tanning (such as spray tanning, tanning injections, sun exposure, and tanning beds) for
2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. It is advisable to apply SPF 30 or higher to your skin for 2 to 4 weeks
prior to the treatment, especially if you have a naturally darker complexion. Additionally, using a
Tyrosinase Inhibitor for 4 weeks before the treatment is recommended to help prevent excessive pigment
production and minimize the risk of hyperpigmentation.
2. Avoid undergoing any other procedures on the area you plan to treat with Fusion Plasma, such as laser
therapy, chemical peels, Botox, or fillers, as these may prevent you from you from having a treatment.
• Refrain from using facial acids (like Retin A, salicylic acid, or glycolic acid) for 14 days before and 21
days after Fusion Plasma.
• No Botox or fillers for 21 days before or after Fusion Plasma.
• No Microneedling/PRP for 21 days before or after Fusion Plasma.

• No laser treatments or peels (depending on the intensity of the peel) for 90 days before or after Fusion
Plasma.

1. On the day of your treatment, you may experience a "stinging" sensation in the treated area,
similar to the feeling of a sunburn. This is normal and usually lasts for about an hour. The
following day, you may notice freckle-like or hyperpigmented spots on your skin. These spots will
gradually fade over the next 7-10 days, revealing smoother, rejuvenated skin.
2. The treated area will become swollen, do not apply a cool compress, but can use a fan, or blow cold air on
your skin (using the cool setting on some blow dryers, fans, or car air conditioning). Avoid taking anti-
inflammatory medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, or steroids if possible. You can take Paracetamol as and
when needed.
3. If your treatment is on your face or neck, it’s recommended to sleep on your back with your head elevated
to minimize swelling.
4. Do NOT cleanse the treated area until the following day or as directed. When you do cleanse, use only
the cleanser provided with your aftercare kit.
5. Refrain from exercising for 48 hours after the treatment and avoid exposure to heat, steam, or sweat, as
this can worsen inflammation.
6. Your technician will provide aftercare products and instructions. It is essential to follow the aftercare
protocol to speed up healing and prevent complications.
7. Do NOT apply occlusive dressings, sunblock, makeup, mascara, creams, or any other products to the
treated area until it is fully healed. Many ingredients in skincare products and cosmetics can irritate the
skin, cause allergic reactions, and slow the healing process, which may interfere with the desired results.
8. While the risk of infection is very low due to the nature of the Fusion Plasma treatment (which does not
create an open wound), the first 12 hours post-treatment are crucial for avoiding potential infection. Keep
the treatment area free from contaminants and avoid touching anything that may come in contact with it.
9. You can return to work the following day, but please note that you may not look your best during the initial
healing period (approximately 1-2 days).
10. Redness, swelling, and inflammation are normal for the first 1 to 3 days after treatment, depending on the
area treated. These effects are usually minor and temporary.
11. If you have any concerns, please contact your technician.

Do not wash your face for at least 5 hours, and preferably wait 12 hours after treatment. When you do cleanse,
use the post-care cleanser, applying it gently with your fingertips. DO NOT RUB HARD. Rinse with a damp
washcloth, gently dabbing to remove the cleanser. Again, avoid rubbing hard. Gently pat your skin dry. After
cleansing, refrain from applying anything else to your skin for 24 hours.
At Night:
Cleanse your skin gently as described above and pat it dry. Depending on the treated area(s), apply 2-3 pumps of
Growth Factor Gel to the affected area, followed by 1-2 pumps of Vital Wound Relief mixed with 1-2 pumps of
Therapy E. Pat this mixture onto your skin without rubbing.
In the Morning:
Gently cleanse your skin as described and pat it dry. Apply the Growth Factor Gel and the Vital Wound
Relief/Therapy E mixture to your skin. You may reapply the Vital Wound/Therapy E mixture throughout the day as
needed, but avoid over-saturating your skin. This step is intended for comfort. If you feel no discomfort, limit its
use to morning and night.
Follow this routine for 5 days post-treatment or until your skin no longer feels tender. Avoid using regular home
care products on the treated areas during the healing process.
In the first week after the treatment, do not expose treatment area to direct sunlight, wear a hat, and avoid public
bathing, sunbathing, tanning, sauna, beauty treatments and sweating. Keep area clean. Inadequate aftercare
procedures in healing phase of the skin can lead to poor results

Warm Fusion treatments can be safely repeated every 6-8 weeks, if necessary. This interval allows for proper healing and gives your skin sufficient time to rejuvenate between sessions. Following this schedule helps you achieve the desired results while supporting the overall health and vitality of your skin.
The duration of Warm Fusion treatment results varies from person to person due to the ongoing aging process. While individual results may differ, most clients notice visible improvements after just one treatment, with the option to repeat the procedure as necessary. Many clients find that one or two treatments per year are sufficient for effective maintenance and long-term results.

1. Clients should be in good health at the time of their appointment, with no pre-existing health
conditions.
2. Treatment is not suitable for clients with open wounds or those who have used Accutane in the
past year.
3. The treatment area should not be inflamed before the procedure.
4. Individuals prone to keloid scars are not ideal candidates for this treatment.
5. Clients with diabetes, healing disorders, or lymphatic drainage issues should avoid this
treatment.
6. Clients with sunburn or suntan should wait at least 8 weeks or until the burn or tan has
completely healed before undergoing treatment.
7. Clients must not have active Herpes Simplex Virus (cold sores/fever blisters) in the treatment
area. If an outbreak occurs, they should reschedule their appointment. Clients with a history of
Herpes Simplex Virus should consult their doctor for a prescription of Valtrex and begin taking it 3
days before the treatment and continue for 4 days afterward.
8. Clients with a pacemaker should avoid treatments involving electrical arcing, as the currents may
interfere with the device's rhythm.
9. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals are not suitable candidates for this treatment.
10. This treatment is only recommended for individuals with a Fitzpatrick skin type of 1-5. Those
outside this range may be at higher risk for hyperpigmentation.

This depends on the treatment and you skin condition that is being treated.
